Yandere Clicker

Yandere Clicker is an odd little browser-based mouse-driven game, and the game-play is quite simple.

After the game loads, the player is treated to a view of a boy in Japanese school uniform lying on the ground while a girl in a Japanese school uniform kneels over him with a knife in her hand. When you click on the boy, the girl stabs him with the knife, creating a quick spray of blood. As you click the boy over and over again, your stab total goes up and you unlock other abilities that allow the girl to stab the boy faster.

The name of the game derives from the word "Yandere," which the game copy translates as "lovesick." There is the connotation of psychotic love or unhealthy love in accordance with this word as well.

After fifteen stabs, you unlock the ability to have the girl stab the boy once per second whether you are clicking on him or not. Then, you can use the number of stabs to purchase the ability to stab faster from the shop bar to the right. For example, after you have stabbed the boy 300 times, you can purchase "imouto," or a little sister. When you have purchased imouto, you loose 300 stabs, but the girl gains the ability to stab the boy 15 times per second. As you gain more stabs, you can purchase items that multiply the stabs per minute.

It is worth noting that nothing changes in the animation. If you do not click on the boy, the girl does not stab him, though the number of stabs continues to go up.

Yandere Clicker is categorized as an idle game or clicker, a game that can run independently in the background as you do other things. You do not need to do anything to get stabs, but if you put in the effort to click the boy and to purchase things from the shop, the stabs will occur more quickly.
