Cowaboom - A10!

What do you get when you mix cows with a scene from Apocalypse Now? What if you add Benny Hill-like music to the scene? This isn’t Benny Hill music, but it has the same kind of upbeat and humorous rhythm. If you listen closely, then you will hear that they are singing Cow-A-Boing-A. Yes, Cowaboom is one strange game made by a10. However, we can all use some comic relief once in a while.

The Apocalypse Now part of the game is actually one of the advanced levels, but this isn’t one of those games where you need to work your way up from one level to the next. Instead, there are three different types of games that you can play as you wish. In regards to the Apocalypse Now level, it’s actually called Apocalypse Cow. In this level of Cowaboom, your cows will be dressed up as soldiers prepared for battle. However, instead of battling, your cows will be jumping for targets that are explosives – TNT included. In order to complete the process, you first must left-click the mouse to run and then release the button in order to jump. Be sure not to jump too late. These cows have some serious leaping ability. You’re more likely to be long than short.

The official name of the Apocalypse Now level is called Lost In Time 2. If you want to play the original Lost In Time, then you will find yourself in a crazy lab with potions brewing all around you. Your job is to knockout the evil genius in charge as well as some cowbells. If you get the job done, then you, or your cow, will be taken back to the present time.

The first and original level is called I Like To Moo It. Of course, this stems from the song, I Like To Move It, which was an upbeat dance song from the early 90s. It’s still played in nightclubs and at sporting events today. The reason for the name of this level is because these cows like to move. More specifically, they like to move and jump. Their goal is to knock down some cowbells. This level has a lighter mood than the other two levels. It has a Sunday picnic feel to it, and you can tell the cows are really just competing against one another in a friendly manner. Happens all the time on any pasture, right?

Enjoy Cowaboom!
